Fees & subsidy
CCS & Free Kindy
Early education in Australia is subsidised for most families. Here is what the two schemes are, and how to find out what your family would actually pay.
What is the Child Care Subsidy?
The Child Care Subsidy is available to most Australian families and is paid directly to us. Families pay the gap fee. Kindulili Early Learning is CCS approved, so families enrolled with us can claim it.
How much subsidy you receive depends on your combined family income, your activity level — work, study, training or volunteering — and the type of care your child attends.
Free Kindy
Free Kindy is a Queensland Government program that funds the kindergarten program for eligible children in the year before formal schooling. Kindulili Early Learning is Free Kindy approved.
Whether your child is eligible depends on their age and which year they start, so the simplest thing is to talk to us about the coming year — we will walk you through it.
Work out what you would pay
The Australian Government publishes its own estimator. We link to it rather than printing figures here, because it always reflects the current rules — and those rules change.
Open the government calculator (opens in a new tab)To use it you will need our daily fee. See our current fees.
How to claim
- Claim through myGov, linked to your Centrelink online account. If you do not have Centrelink linked to myGov yet, set that up first.
- Start as early as you can. A claim can take several weeks to process, so please do not leave it until your child’s first day.
- Confirm your child’s enrolment in myGov once we have submitted it. Your subsidy cannot start until you do.
- Until your claim is approved, you will be invoiced full fees. Talk to us if that timing is difficult.
